The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jones lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Overeem is defended easily by Jones.
Overeem shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Overeem gets slowly back to his feet.

Overeem throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Jones stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Overeem follows into mount!

It looks like Jon Jones has been cut.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Overeem is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jones can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Overeem postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Jones is out cold - huge knockout for Overeem!
