PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lisha Sure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Studebaker Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawk is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by silver hawk. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Studebaker Hawk!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sure shoots in but Hawk avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Hawk closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sure's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Sure is trying to control the position but Hawk postures up.
Sure keeping moving, preventing Hawk from controlling successfully.

Hawk thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Hawk drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hawk jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hawk wants to control from the top but Sure keeps moving.
Hawk throwing strikes from guard but Sure blocks nicely.
Sure working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hawk.
Hawk trying to control the position from guard on top but Sure is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sure knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hawk on the ground.

Hawk won't allow Sure to sweep him here.

Hawk drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Hawk seems to have locked his on tight now - Sure screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Hawk, as he picks up the win!
