Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nadi Tsunami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nadi Tsunami!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Scott Lewis!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Lewis swings for the body but Tsunami moves out of range.
Scott Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lewis takes a swing at Tsunami's ribcage but misses.
Tsunami lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lewis circles away quickly and effectively.

Tsunami scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Lewis is looking to improve his position.
Tsunami trying to pass the guard but Lewis defending well.
Still in half guard, Tsunami seems content to control.

Lewis is refusing to be controlled, as Tsunami sits in half guard.

Tsunami wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lewis keeps working.
Tsunami will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Lewis tries to roll over but Tsunami keeps him under control.

Tsunami is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lewis doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tsunami.

Tsunami is looking to take a break and control but Lewis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lewis keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Lewis is refusing to be controlled, as Tsunami sits in half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Lewis ducks under a wild hook from Tsunami.
Nadi Tsunami is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lewis tries for a takedown but Tsunami sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A jab from Lewis finds it's way through Tsunami's defenses.
Lewis uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Tsunami has time to react.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nadi Tsunami wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Lewis lands with a right hand.
Tsunami bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Lewis gets a double leg takedown into Tsunami's guard.
Lewis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tsunami swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lewis drops back, looking for a kneebar! Tsunami looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Tsunami looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Tsunami!

Tsunami wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lewis keeps working.

Check out the look on Tsunami's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lewis regains half guard.
Lewis is pressing down on Tsunami's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Lewis keeping moving, preventing Tsunami from controlling successfully.
Nadi Tsunami overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Tsunami sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lewis's guard.
Lewis wants to get back to full guard.
Still in half guard, Tsunami seems content to control.
Tsunami's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

We're going to have a standup here because Nadi Tsunami wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Tsunami throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Tsunami throws a low kick but Lewis moves out of range easily.

Tsunami clinches up against the cage.
Lewis can't find room to land a body shot as Tsunami controls the action.
Lewis struggles to land a body shot inside as Tsunami controls his hands.
Tsunami jumps guard but Lewis stands there with Tsunami around his waist. Tsunami gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tsunami turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Tsunami manages to end up in side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Nadi Tsunami will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Tsunami closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Lewis kicks off Tsunami and gets to his feet.
Lewis uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Lewis lands a glancing blow to the side of Tsunami's head.
Lewis cracks a nice hook into Tsunami's ribs.
Lewis lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Lewis gets tackled into the cage by Tsunami. Tsunami maintains the clinch.
Tsunami can't get the takedown.
Lewis misses with a hook from the clinch.
Tsunami tries to pull guard but Lewis holds him up against the cage and eventually Tsunami drops back down to his feet.
Lewis tries to circle away but Tsunami has him pinned against the cage.
Tsunami fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nadi Tsunami. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lewis swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Tsunami.

Tsunami takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Lewis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tsunami manages to avoid it.

Lewis keeps control of Tsunami as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Tsunami blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Lewis lands a nice shot to the body.
Lewis is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Lewis pushes Tsunami back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Tsunami.
Lewis tries for a takedown but Tsunami manages to get underhooks.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Tsunami blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Lewis lands with a right to the head.
Tsunami has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lewis is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Tsunami manages to break the clinch.
Lewis throws the left hand but Tsunami avoids the punch easily.
The crowd cheers as Lewis lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tsunami doesn't seem phased though.
Tsunami shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lewis pinned against the cage. Lewis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tsunami shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lewis sprawls well. Lewis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tsunami gets slowly back to his feet.
Tsunami shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lewis but Lewis pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nice takedown defense from Lewis. No joy for Tsunami on that attempt.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lewis digs a good hook to Tsunami's body.
Lewis throws a jab but it's blocked by Tsunami.
Tsunami doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Lewis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tsunami manages to avoid it.

Tsunami closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lewis circles away.
Lewis lands a slapping body shot.

Lewis shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Lewis passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Tsunami!
Lewis is landing with some decent strikes but Tsunami is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Lewis has hold of Tsunami's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tsunami manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Tsunami is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Lewis postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Tsunami looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tsunami is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Scott Lewis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Lewis is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Tsunami is surviving well by controlling Lewis's body position as best he can.
Poor strikes thrown by Lewis there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Tsunami tries to hold on but Lewis pushes him away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tsunami sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Tsunami is defending against the submission attempts here by Lewis.
Nadi Tsunami is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Tsunami keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Scott Lewis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Tsunami has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
