The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scaletta closes the distance and clinches.

Scaletta pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Joestar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Scaletta with a jab.

It looks like Jonathon Joestar has been cut.

Scaletta fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Joestar, pushing him back against the cage.
Joestar pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Joestar has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Scaletta uses from the top position.
Scaletta wants to stand but Joestar is controlling his posture from full guard.

Joestar escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Scaletta gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Scaletta knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Joestar on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Scaletta got a little sloppy there for a moment and Joestar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Scaletta has managed to get both his arms back between Joestar's legs - danger averted.

Joestar has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Scaletta doesn't defend quickly enough and Joestar has managed to lock this one up! Can Scaletta escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Joestar on a fantastic submission victory.
