With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brett Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McClelland has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Jackson throws a low kick but it's checked well by McClelland.
Jackson is looking to slow McClelland down with leg kicks.
Phillip McClelland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McClelland throws out a powerful jab.
Jackson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McClelland avoids it really well and circles away.
McClelland takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McClelland misses with a wild combination.
McClelland digs a good hook to Jackson's body.

Jackson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McClelland looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Jackson wants to stand but McClelland has his arm trapped.
McClelland wants to get back to his feet.

Jackson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

McClelland tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jackson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

McClelland tries to close the distance and clinch but Jackson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McClelland is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
McClelland tries to clinch there but Jackson circles away.
McClelland throws a one two combo.
McClelland circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McClelland throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jackson.

McClelland throws a left that rocks Jackson and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! McClelland dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Jackson regain composure!

Jackson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Jackson is still in real trouble! Can McClelland finish him?

McClelland decides to stand back up.
McClelland tries to clinch up but Jackson circles away and keeps his distance.
McClelland lands with a big right hook that stumbles Jackson - he's out on his feet here! McClelland follows up with another monster hook that separates Jackson from consciousness! Jackson falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! McClelland stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Phillip McClelland!
