Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Justin Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joao Ferraz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Justin Dunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joao Ferraz!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunn shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ferraz pinned against the cage. Ferraz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ferraz looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Dunn dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ferraz avoids the body shot from Dunn.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dunn.
Dunn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ferraz swivels and escapes.

and Dunn counters with a good low kick that Ferraz was not able to check.

Ferraz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ferraz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dunn.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Dunn. Ferraz shrugs it off though.
Dunn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ferraz's waist but Ferraz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dunn off to one side.
Ferraz misses with a wild combination.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dunn is keen to just control but Ferraz is a slippery customer.

Dunn perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

We're going to have a standup here because Justin Dunn wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Ferraz moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Dunn throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Ferraz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ferraz wants it to stay on the feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dunn dodges the punch combination from Ferraz.
Ferraz throws a combination. Dunn tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ferraz misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dunn lands a head kick. Ferraz smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Dunn looks for a takedown but Ferraz sprawls well.
Ferraz is still on wobbly legs! Can Dunn finish him?

Dunn looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dunn is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Dunn moves into full mount! Ferraz won't be happy about that!
Ferraz seems to have recovered his senses.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dunn is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ferraz is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Ferraz tries to bum rush Dunn with a series of wild strikes but Dunn uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Dunn counters with a big head kick but Ferraz shrugs it off.

Ferraz throws a right and a left that Dunn avoids nicely.
Dunn shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dunn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ferraz manages to avoid it.
Dunn scores with a hook to the body. Ferraz takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Dunn tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ferraz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Dunn uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ferraz has time to react.

Dunn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ferraz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dunn somewhat.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Ferraz feints a jab promting Dunn to slip. Ferraz then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Dunn slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Dunn pushes Ferraz up against the cage in a clinch.
Dunn keeps control of Ferraz as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Ferraz gets underhooks to prevent Dunn's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Dunn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ferraz is working for takedown but Dunn is calmly controlling the position for now.

Dunn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ferraz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Dunn is trying to control. Ferraz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ferraz can do anything to dispel that myth.

Dunn maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Ferraz could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Dunn has cracked it and Ferraz is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Dunn!
