Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucho Luvichev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Babcock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lucho Luvichev has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lucho Luvichev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kyle Babcock!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babcock throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Luvichev stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Luvichev tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Babcock looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Babcock scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Luvichev tries to clinch but Babcock moves away
and Babcock counters with a right hand to the body.
Babcock connects with a good right hand that stumbles Luvichev. Luvichev circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Luvichev slips a jab and a cross from Babcock.
Luvichev shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Babcock sprawls well. Babcock wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Luvichev gets slowly back to his feet.
Babcock misses with a double jab.
Babcock cracks Luvichev with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Luvichev throws a head kick but Babcock moves out of range.
Luvichev shoots in but Babcock avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nice cross by Babcock.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Luvichev takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Babcock throws a combination. Luvichev tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Luvichev fails with the takedown
and Babcock counters with a three punch combo that has Luvichev backing up. Luvichev nods at Babcock to acknowledge the strikes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucho Luvichev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Luvichev tries to move into range but Babcock moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Babcock displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Luvichev tries to close the distance and clinch up but Babcock swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Luvichev misses with a takedown attempt
letting Babcock counter with a right hand.
Babcock lands a nice shot that snaps Luvichev's head back.
Babcock lands with a hook. Luvichev tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Babcock lands a slapping body shot.
Babcock scores with a one two! Luvichev had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Babcock throws a series of strikes that have Luvichev backpedaling.
Babcock stuffs the takedown.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Babcock with a jab.
A left and a right from Babcock both land. Nice combination.
Luvichev with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Babcock to score with a decent uppercut.
Babcock jabs at Luvichev's body.
Babcock scores with the left hand. Luvichev knows he should have avoided that one.
Luvichev throws a lazy right hand but Babcock sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Babcock lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Luvichev closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Luvichev is breathing heavily.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Babcock is trying to improve his position.
Babcock is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Babcock is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Luvichev asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Luvichev landing a few strikes.
Luvichev works to advance to full mount. Babcock defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Babcock keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Babcock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Luvichev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Luvichev mounts Babcock! Really nice guard pass there!
Babcock looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

Luvichev has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Babcock is defending well but eventually Luvichev manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Babcock has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Lucho Luvichev!
