Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlton Leach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlton Leach!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leach shoots in and drives through. Dixon sprawls well.

Leach rushes Dixon and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Leach's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Leach wants to get back to striking at distance but Dixon won't allow it.

Leach breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Leach misses with a double jab.
Leach falls off balance throwing a combination
and Dixon counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Leach thows a body shot but no joy.
Leach misses with a double jab.
Leach misses with a wild combination.
Leach throws a right and a left that Dixon avoids nicely.
Dixon throws a left and a right that both miss
and Leach counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Leach ducks under a wild hook from Dixon.
Leach misses with a series of wild punches.

and Dixon counters with a three punch combo that has Leach backing up. Leach nods at Dixon to acknowledge the strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dixon lands with a hook. Leach tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Leach misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jake Dixon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Carlton Leach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Dixon counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Leach doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Dixon tries to bum rush Leach with a series of wild strikes but Leach uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Leach clobbers Dixon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

A close round but Carlton Leach will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


No joy there for Leach, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Leach shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dixon as he jumps to the side.
Dixon swats away the attempt to clinch by Leach.
Leach misses with a few strikes there.

Leach looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Leach tries to stand and escape but Dixon actually recovers to full guard.
Leach is breathing heavily.
Leach would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Dixon seems keen to control Leach's posture.

Leach stands up from Dixon's guard - Leach perhaps looking for a knockout.
Leach fails with an attempt to clinch.

Leach is looking to clinch but Dixon is avoiding it.
Leach pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dixon has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Leach.

Leach swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dixon counters with a left and a right that stings Leach.
Leach throws a nice looking combination but Dixon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Donk. Dixon catches Leach right on the button with a cross.
Dixon throws a series of punches but Leach avoids them all with ease.
Dixon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Leach manages to avoid it.

Dixon gets tackled into the cage by Leach. Leach maintains the clinch.

Leach's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Carlton Leach showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

It looks like Carlton Leach has been cut.
Leach bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Dixon's head.
Leach fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Dixon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Leach shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Dixon keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

and Dixon makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Leach looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dixon is fending him off so far but Leach persists. Nope, Dixon circles away and we're back to standing.
Dixon's corner calls for a 1-2. Dixon obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dixon scores with a hook to the body. Leach takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Leach tries to bum rush Dixon with a series of wild strikes but Dixon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dixon throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Leach stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Leach will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Leach tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dixon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Leach somewhat.

Dixon lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Dixon moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
