The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mehoff gets caught napping as Cena dives in and scores a takedown. Mehoff manages to retain guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Cena throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mehoff tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cena is in Mehoff's guard.

Mehoff wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Mehoff has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Mehoff is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Cena looks calm but he's in trouble here. Mehoff gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Cena is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Mehoff lets go of the hold and Cena can pop his arm back in it's socket.
