The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashantie throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Douglas throws a nice outside leg kick.
Douglas cracks Ashantie with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Douglas throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Ashantie fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Ashantie throws a body punch but Douglas moves out of range.
Douglas moves forwards but Ashantie connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Douglas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ashantie throws a shot from downtown. Douglas moves away and avoids it.
A telegraphed right hand from Ashantie misses the target.
Ashantie moves away from the strike by Douglas.
Douglas uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ashantie.
Ashantie throws a left and a right that both miss
and Douglas counters with a stiff right hand.
Nice body punch from Ashantie.
A shot to the liver by Douglas. Beautiful body shot.

Ashantie takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ashantie looks winded!
Douglas does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Ashantie bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Douglas throws a nice inside leg kick.
Douglas dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ashantie moves out of range of the leg kick from Douglas.
Douglas throws the kick towards the body but Ashantie avoids it.
Douglas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ashantie manages to avoid it.

Douglas lands a big head kick that sends Ashantie tumbling to the mat! Douglas takes a step backwards and waves Ashantie back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Congo Ashantie has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Douglas looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Ashantie avoids a kick to the body.
Douglas turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Ashantie takes one to the chin there.
Douglas scores with a jab.

Ashantie avoids the head kick by Douglas.
Douglas is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Ashantie like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Ashantie from another fist facial!
