The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pekka throws a half hearted mid kick.
Keepperi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pekka.
Pekka swings away with a body shot that misses
and Pekka takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Keepperi avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Pekka looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Pekka looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Pekka is pressing down on Keepperi's thigh, looking to free his foot. Keepperi is holding on for now.

Keepperi is not content to let Pekka control the position.

Pekka in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Keepperi tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Pekka!
