Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Colt McLaren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akira Azuma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLaren misses with a low kick.
Azuma scores with the left hand. McLaren knows he should have avoided that one.
McLaren throws a leg kick which misses Azuma's front leg but catches the back leg as Azuma tries to avoid it.
Azuma slips under a jab from McLaren.
Azuma cracks McLaren with an open hand slap.
McLaren misses with a low kick.
Azuma avoids a kick to the body.
McLaren lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Azuma, as that shot connected.
McLaren looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
McLaren gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
McLaren throws a good cross that connects.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McLaren misses the shot to the body.
Azuma connects with a looping right hand.

Azuma gets a clinch.
McLaren wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Azuma has him pressed against the ropes.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Azuma.
McLaren tries to break free but Azuma pushes him back against the ropes.
Azuma prevents McLaren from breaking the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McLaren trying to control the position but instead, Azuma has worked for underhooks and has pushed McLaren into the ropes.
McLaren throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Azumas head.
McLaren takes a shot to the head.

McLaren breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
McLaren throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Azuma comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Azuma swings for the body but McLaren moves out of range.
Azuma avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
McLaren misses with a low kick as Azuma jumps back.
Azuma listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
McLaren takes one to the chin there.
Azuma throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Azuma lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Azuma dips to his left and cracks McLaren with an uppercut!
McLaren just misses with a punch to the body.
McLaren throws a leg kick but Azuma sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Azuma throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McLaren throws a leg kick but Azuma moved away.
A jab from Azuma does it's job there.
Azuma is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! McLaren had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
McLaren misses with a low kick as Azuma jumps back.

Azuma closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Azuma lands in his opponent's guard.
Azuma is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Azuma avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Azuma works over McLaren with some ground and pound from guard.
Azuma throws a big elbow that misses.
Azuma is in close to McLaren's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Azuma is sitting in close to McLaren's body. McLaren has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Azuma is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Azuma is tapping! That was a very nice submission by McLaren.
