The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos stuffs the takedown.
Santos avoids a punch combination nicely.
Some wild striking there from Acosta.
Acosta misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Acosta is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Santos.
Santos keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Acosta misses the jab.
Acosta fails with the takedown.
Acosta shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Santos sprawls well. Santos wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Acosta gets slowly back to his feet.
Jeffrey Santos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Camilo Acosta.

Santos defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Acosta.
Acosta throws a sloppy head kick
and Santos cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Acosta tries to bum rush Santos with a series of wild strikes but Santos uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Camilo Acosta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Acosta takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Acosta thows a body shot but no joy.

Acosta throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Santos.
Nice uppercut there from Santos.
Acosta throws a left and a right that both miss
and Santos counters with a nice body shot.
Acosta looks winded!
Santos walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Acosta drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Santos swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Acosta's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

After the fight, Jeffrey Santos was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
