And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, King KO!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buckman misses with a takedown attempt - KO sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Buckman rushes KO and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Buckman missing with knees to the body.
Buckman unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Buckman is trying to pull guard but KO has him pressed against the cage.
Buckman is trying to break the clinch but KO has him pressed against the cage.
Buckman landing knees to the body.
Buckman wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

KO breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Buster Buckman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Buckman tries to close the distance and clinch but KO swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
KO avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

KO stuffs the takedown.

Buckman tries to clinch but KO moves away
and KO counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


It looks like Buster Buckman has been cut.
Buckman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts KO as he jumps to the side.
Buckman moves in looking to clinch but KO pushes him off.
Buckman closes the distance looking to clinch
and KO counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

KO blocks a body shot from Buckman.
KO is trying to break the clinch but Buckman has him pressed against the cage.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Buckman lands a nice elbow.
Buckman tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and KO avoids it.

KO takes an elbow to the temple.


It looks like King KO has been cut.
Buckman looking to throw knees to the head but KO is blocking nicely.

Buckman has KO pressed against the cage, preventing KO from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
KO takes a knee right on the jaw!
Buckman unloads a knee to the mid-section.
KO wants to break free but Buckman has control.
KO looks winded!
A nice glancing elbow lands by Buckman.

Buckman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Buckman clinches.

KO manages to break the clinch.
Buckman tries to clinch but KO is having none of it.
Buckman wants to clinch.
Buckman darts in trying to clinch
and KO counters with a nice uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Buster Buckman dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
