Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sean Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Senior Santana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Senior Santana has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sean Stevens's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sean Stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Senior Santana!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Santana.

Stevens takes the fight into the clinch.

Santana pulls guard effortlessly.
Stevens missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Santana has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Stevens got a little sloppy there for a moment and Santana has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stevens has managed to get both his arms back between Santana's legs - danger averted.

Stevens gets to his feet - Santana follows without any prompting.

Stevens darts in and clinches Santana up against the cage.
Santana has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stevens is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Santana has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Stevens clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Santana has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Stevens has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Santana just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Santana controlling the positon.

Stevens is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Santana gets his way!

Stevens wants to control his opponent's hands but Santana gets his hands free.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Santana tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Stevens avoids the head kick by Santana.

Stevens clinches up with Santana and pushes him back against the cage.

Santana turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Santana tries to pull guard but Stevens holds him up against the cage and eventually Santana drops back down to his feet.

Santana is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Santana is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Stevens pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Stevens throws a punch but it's blocked by Santana.

Santana tightens his grip and picks Stevens up, before dumping him to the ground. Stevens manages to land in guard.
Stevens wants to stand up but Santana is controlling him.
Stevens keeping moving, preventing Santana from controlling successfully.
Stevens looking to control but Santana passes into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Santana in particular looking to stall.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Santana escapes and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Senior Santana showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Santana throws a right and a left that Stevens avoids nicely.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Santana cracks Stevens with a big right hand but Stevens just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Santana stands up and beckons Stevens to his feet.
Sean Stevens is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Santana throws a series of punches but Stevens avoids them all with ease.

Santana will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Santana thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Santana looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Stevens wants to stand but Santana has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Santana wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
