Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesse Saunders!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saunders misses with a combination

and Vasilyevich counters by moving into the clinch.
Vasilyevich lands a nice uppercut.
A right handed body shot lands from Vasilyevich.
A short uppercut from Vasilyevich.

Saunders wants to get back to striking at distance but Vasilyevich won't allow it.
Vasilyevich digs a right hand into Saunders's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Saunders's gas tank.
Vasilyevich lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Saunders looks winded!
Saunders wants to break the clinch but can't.

Vasilyevich lands with a short shot to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Vasilyevich cracks Saunders with a nice body shot.
Saunders is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Vasilyevich has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Saunders uses from the top position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vasilyevich is on top in guard.

Vasilyevich works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Vasilyevich thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Saunders's head.
Vasilyevich content to control rather than advance.
Vasilyevich throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Vasilyevich looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Vasilyevich in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Saunders tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Vasilyevich!
