The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zook takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Legend digs a good hook to Zook's body.
Legend throws out a powerful jab.
Zook takes one on the button.
Legend connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Zook momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Legend thuds a left hand into Zook's body.
Zook's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Legend connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Zook scrambles back to his feet.
Legend stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Legend wants it to stay on the feet.
Legend scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Legend throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Zook's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Legend dives in looking to finish as Zook flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Legend's strikes! Legend is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Zook's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Zook was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
