Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alain Coyette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boris Kruger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coyette with a lazy takedown attempt

and Kruger holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Coyette is looking for a takedown.
Coyette is trying to pull guard but Kruger has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alain Coyette. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kruger gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Coyette regains guard.
Kruger scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Kruger postures up in Coyette's guard and throws a big left but Coyette blocks it.
Coyette will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kruger missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Coyette knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kruger on the ground.

Coyette is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kruger defends well.
Kruger stands up over Coyette, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Coyette has momentary wrist control but Kruger slips an elbow through the middle.
Kruger is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Coyette controls Kruger momentarily but Kruger frees himself.
Kruger working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Coyette's head.

Kruger is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kruger is looking to work some ground and pound but Coyette has wrist control.

Kruger has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kruger distracts Coyette with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Kruger is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Kruger makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Coyette is rocked!
Kruger postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Coyette covers up, he's hurt! Kruger keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Kruger and the ref steps in to end the fight! Kruger can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
