The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Leary misses with an uppercut.
A slow jab from O Leary misses its intended target.
Nice sprawl there from O Leary as Finkelstein shoots in.
O Leary defending well as Finkelstein loads up on a big left hand.
O Leary lets loose with a powerful body kick. Finkelstein will feel that in the morning.

Finkelstein shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Finkelstein showed some decent athleticism there.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now O Leary is on top in guard.
Finkelstein doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
O Leary trying to control the position from guard on top but Finkelstein is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Finkelstein wants to sweep but no luck.
O Leary wants to control from the top but Finkelstein keeps moving.
Finkelstein is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Finkelstein has a closed guard, preventing O Leary from standing up.
Finkelstein thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Finkelstein, as that shot connected.
O Leary lands with a kick to the ribs.
Oooh a lovely combination from Finkelstein sends O Leary down but not out. Finkelstein dives into side control looking to finish.

It looks like Paddy O Leary has been cut.
O Leary is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Oh O Leary is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Finkelstein controlling the position.
Finkelstein in side control lands a decent elbow.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
O Leary wants to control but Finkelstein postures up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Finkelstein wants to lay and pray for a moment but O Leary keeps working.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
O Leary tries to bench press Finkelstein off him but Finkelstein keeps the position.
