The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas looks to land a combination but Ovaltrades avoids it well.
Thomas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ovaltrades keeps the fight on the outside.

Ovaltrades has Thomas up against the cage in a clinch.
Ovaltrades prevents a body shot from Thomas.
Thomas is trying to push Ovaltrades away but Ovaltrades has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Thomas pulls guard successfully.
Ovaltrades slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Ovaltrades tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ovaltrades has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Ovaltrades is trying hard to land a takedown here. Thomas sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Thomas closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ovaltrades did well to prevent Thomas getting side control.

Jack Ovaltrades overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Thomas drops back looking for a leg! Ovaltrades is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ovaltrades manages to kick Thomas off! Thomas jumps back into Ovaltrades's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Thomas accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ovaltrades has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Thomas is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ovaltrades.

Thomas scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The fighters are battling for position here. Ovaltrades manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Ovaltrades has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Thomas should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Ovaltrades has tightened it up now! Thomas should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
