Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Christopher Seamon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, PJ Benn!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seamon tries to clinch there but Benn circles away.
Benn misses with a takedown
and Seamon counters with a left to the body.

Seamon drives through with a takedown into Benn's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Benn is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Seamon trying to control but Benn is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Benn had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Seamon defends it easily.

Seamon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Benn did well to prevent Seamon getting side control.

Benn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Benn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Seamon is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Benn is staying tight to Seamon's torso, preventing him from escaping.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Seamon tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Benn presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

PJ Benn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Benn goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Seamon turns into him and now he's in Benn's guard.
PJ Benn is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Seamon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Benn is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Seamon, into his guard.
Seamon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Benn shoots in and drives through. Seamon sprawls well.
Benn shoots in but no luck this time.
