Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Brasileiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Gruberman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gruberman has chosen Boot to the Head as his entrance music. Jose Brasileiro had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.7lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Jose Brasileiro has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brasileiro with a poor takedown
and Gruberman makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Brasileiro really felt that one!
Brasileiro shoots and misses
and Gruberman counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Brasileiro fails with the takedown
so Gruberman counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Brasileiro is rocked!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Brasileiro. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brasileiro is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Brasileiro is working an open guard so Gruberman takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Brasileiro misses with a takedown attempt
and Gruberman scores with a counter punch that sends Brasileiro to the canvas! Gruberman smells blood - he's punishing Brasileiro with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Brasileiro has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
