Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jake Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryan Dunham!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman misses with the combination.
Dunham has his takedown stuffed

and Coleman counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Coleman tries to break free but Dunham pushes him back against the cage.
Coleman tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Dunham has Coleman pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Coleman manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Coleman prevents a takedown attempt there.
Jake Coleman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Dunham.

Coleman pushes off an throws an elbow but Dunham leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Dunham shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Dunham wants to stand and escape but Coleman is having none of it.
Coleman engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Jake Coleman has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Dunham fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Coleman tries to close the distance and clinch but Dunham swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Coleman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Dunham is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Coleman's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Dunham escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Coleman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Coleman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dunham on the ground.

Coleman wants to pass the guard but Dunham is keeping the position.
Coleman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Coleman shoots in but Dunham avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Dunham dives in and grabs Coleman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Coleman pushes down on Dunham's head and hops out.

Dunham tries to get to full guard but Coleman has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coleman stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Jake Coleman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Dunham gets caught napping as Coleman dives in and scores a takedown. Dunham manages to retain guard.
Coleman is stalling in the full guard.
Coleman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dunham swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Coleman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dunham is on top in guard.
Coleman has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jake Coleman.

Dunham shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Coleman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Coleman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dunham can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Coleman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Ryan Dunham has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dunham is looking to get back to full guard here but Coleman has managed to pass to side control instead.

I would just about give that final round to Ryan Dunham.
Well Coleman has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
