PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sione Makatua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyson has chosen WWE ENTRANCE as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makatua keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Tyson.
Tyson loads up on a big right hand but Makatua slips the punch.
Makatua will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Makatua lands a big shot that drops Tyson! Can he finish him?

Tyson is rocked!

It looks like Mike Tyson has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Makatua slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Tyson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Makatua defends it easily.
Makatua postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Tyson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Makatua passes into half guard.
Makatua is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Makatua will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Sione Makatua just wasn't active enough.

Tyson ducks straight into an uppercut from Makatua and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Tyson manages to regain guard straight away.

That has opened up Mike Tyson's cut even more.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tyson is looking for a triangle here but Makatua uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Makatua has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Makatua ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Tyson's jaw. Tyson's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Makatua does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
