Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Meyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Emelchenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alexander Emelchenko!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Emelchenko.

Meyer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Emelchenko, pushing him back against the cage.
Meyer misses with an elbow over the top.

Emelchenko has picked Meyer up - he's going for a ride! Emelchenko dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Meyer is trying to control but Emelchenko manages to pass to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Emelchenko can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Meyer is looking to escape.

Meyer has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Emelchenko regains guard immediately.

Meyer gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Emelchenko looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Meyer is fending him off so far but Emelchenko persists. Nope, Meyer circles away and we're back to standing.

Meyer has closed the distance and engaged Emelchenko in a clinch.
