Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tanner Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toby Kilgore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tanner Stevens is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tanner Stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Toby Kilgore!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kilgore defends it nicely.
That kick from Kilgore tenderised Stevens's leg. Stevens is trying to keep his angry face on.
Stevens shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kilgore pinned against the cage. Kilgore gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kilgore tries to pull guard but Stevens won't allow it.
A frustrated look appears on Stevens's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Stevens's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Stevens tries to sprawl but Kilgore drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Kilgore is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Stevens enables Kilgore to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stevens manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Kilgore doesn't manage to clinch there - Stevens circles away.
Kilgore shoots in for a double leg but Stevens sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Kilgore makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Stevens closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kilgore's guard.
Stevens is pushing down on Kilgore's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kilgore is fighting to maintain full guard but Stevens has managed to sneak the leg through.

Stevens decides to stand up.

Stevens closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kilgore is working to avoid the ground and pound but Stevens connects with a decent elbow.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Stevens stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Stevens fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tanner Stevens will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kilgore lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


It looks like Tanner Stevens has been cut.
Stevens changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kilgore tries to avoid it but Stevens manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kilgore to the ground. Kilgore escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Stevens sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Stevens leaves Kilgore with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kilgore slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Stevens wants to stand and escape but Kilgore is having none of it.

Kilgore controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Kilgore must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Toby Kilgore hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Kilgore tries for a takedown but Stevens sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Stevens shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kilgore but Kilgore pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kilgore lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Horrible takedown by Kilgore or perhaps it was just good defense by Stevens which made him look bad.
Stevens throws a right hand that Kilgore ducks under and follows up with a left that Kilgore also avoids with ease.

Kilgore jumps guard but Stevens stands there with Kilgore around his waist. Kilgore gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Tanner Stevens overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kilgore working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kilgore stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stevens swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stevens tries to land a sweep but no joy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stevens keeping moving, preventing Kilgore from controlling successfully.
Kilgore really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stevens. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Stevens is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Kilgore frees his head nicely. Oh but Stevens has switched to an armbar! Kilgore is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
