Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gorilla Guerrilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Paulson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Paulson as Guerrilla shoots in.
Paulson lands a jab-cross combination.


It looks like Gorilla Guerrilla has been cut.

Paulson rushes Guerrilla and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Guerrilla throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Paulson blocks it with crossed arms.
Paulson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Guerrilla backwards.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Guerrilla pushes off an throws an elbow but Paulson leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Guerrilla creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Paulson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Guerrilla misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Paulson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Paulson wants the takedown. Guerrilla is fighting it off but Paulson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Guerrilla's guard against the cage.

Paulson wants to work for an arm triangle but Guerrilla is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
