Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sylvester Scritsmier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roberto Colon!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Joseph Jones and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scritsmier throws a leg kick but Colon checks it.
Scritsmier misses with an uppercut. Colon saw that one coming.
Scritsmier lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Scritsmier.

Scritsmier is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Colon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Scritsmier has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Colon has managed to get both his arms back between Scritsmier's legs - danger averted.

Scritsmier is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Colon is looking for a kimura but Scritsmier is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Colon to get the leverage.

Scritsmier makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
