Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Nicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Con Dumas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mario Nicks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 21 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Con Dumas!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nicks throws a head kick but Dumas moves out of range.

Dumas closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Nicks trying to hold on to Dumas's head to control him but Dumas postures up.

Dumas takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Nicks has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dumas is working away from the top position though.

Con Dumas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

A jab-cross combination lands for Dumas and sends Nicks crashing to the mat! Dumas follows him down to the mat - Nicks regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Nicks gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Dumas.

Nicks is trying to maintain the position but Dumas is very close to passing his half guard.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Dumas has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Dumas tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dumas has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Dumas is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Mario Nicks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Nicks is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Con Dumas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dumas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
