PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Neil Sillman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Firefly oz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Firefly oz told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sillman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but oz was well out of range. Poor timing from Sillman.
oz fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sillman looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Sillman looks to score with a jab to the body but oz is just out of range.
Sillman is looking to score with low kicks.
Sillman fakes a jab and throws a low kick but oz checks it well.
Sillman steps to the side to avoid the strikes from oz.
Sillman throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - oz has eaten all the pies!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sillman uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before oz has time to react.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Firefly oz wasn't active enough on the ground.

oz throws a looping overhand right but Sillman ducks down to avoid it.
oz takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
oz moves forwards but Sillman connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Sillman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sillman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by oz.
oz throws a hook to the side of Sillman's head but Sillman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Sillman is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

I would just about give that final round to Firefly oz.
