The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smirnov fails with a takedown attempt.
Czuczitez throws an overhand right that lands on Smirnov's shoulder, as Smirnov tries to avoid the shot.
Busta Smirnov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Czuczitez lands a big head kick that sends Smirnov tumbling to the mat! Czuczitez takes a step backwards and waves Smirnov back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Busta Smirnov has been cut.

Czuczitez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smirnov on the ground.

Smirnov is looking to take a break and control but Czuczitez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Czuczitez is trying to control Smirnov's posture but Smirnov avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Czuczitez gets back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Smirnov moves in looking to clinch but Czuczitez pushes him off.
Czuczitez stuns Smirnov with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Smirnov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Czuczitez sprawls well. Czuczitez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Smirnov gets slowly back to his feet.
