Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
fletcher lands with a nice body punch.
john uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from fletcher.

fletcher feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

fletcher drops back looking for a leg! john is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and john manages to kick fletcher off! fletcher jumps back into john's guard.

john had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. fletcher is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. john Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take fletcher's back instead.
john trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

john looking for the choke but no joy.

john is persistently looking for the submission but fletcher is defending it well.
fletcher is really stuck here.

john is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. fletcher defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

fletcher turns into john and is now in his guard.
john is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

fletcher is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

fletcher drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and fletcher jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
fletcher is breathing heavily.
fletcher stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. john swivels though and keeps the full guard.

john has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. fletcher doesn't defend quickly enough and john has managed to lock this one up! Can fletcher escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to john on a fantastic submission victory.
