Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Alpa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Alexander Alpa has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alexander Alpa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Da Silva!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alpa fails in his attempt to clinch.
Alpa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Da Silva swivels and escapes.
Da Silva slaps away a takedown attempt from Alpa, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Alpa gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Da Silva counters with a takedown into side control.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Alpa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Alpa tries to buck Da Silva off but Da Silva is having none of it.

Da Silva is trying to get an arm triangle but Alpa is defending well.

Alpa is looking for a sweep.
Alpa is working hard here to advance position.
Alpa wants to control but Da Silva postures up.
Alpa sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Da Silva is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Alpa has managed to free his arm - good work.
Alpa works his way to full guard. Good work.

Da Silva drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Alpa dives on top into guard.
Alpa trying to control the position from guard on top but Da Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Alpa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Da Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Alpa wants to control from the top but Da Silva keeps moving.
Alpa trying to stand up but can't free himself from Da Silva's guard.

Da Silva is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Alpa wants to control from the top but Da Silva keeps moving.
Alpa wants to stand but Da Silva has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Alpa stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Da Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Da Silva displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Alpa.
Alpa wants to clinch up but Da Silva keeps it at a distance.

Alpa fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Alpa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Da Silva sprawls well. Da Silva wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Alpa gets slowly back to his feet.

Alpa bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Alpa prevents Da Silva from escaping the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Alpa is looking to take a break and control but Da Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Alpa cracks Da Silva with a big right hand but Da Silva just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Alpa wants to stand but Da Silva has his arm trapped.
Alpa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Da Silva keeps working.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alexander Alpa dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Alpa fails with the takedown.
Alpa shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Da Silva but Da Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Alpa tries for a takedown but Da Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Alpa. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Da Silva tries to sprawl but Alpa drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Alpa throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Alpa tries to stand but can't do so whilst Da Silva controls his leg.
Da Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Da Silva is staying active underneath Alpa, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Alpa is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Da Silva sees it coming and defends easily.
Alpa seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Alpa takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Alpa tries to pass the half guard into mount. Da Silva knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Alpa moves nicely into side control.

Alpa stands up.
Alpa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Da Silva sprawls well. Da Silva wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Alpa gets slowly back to his feet.

Alpa ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Alpa moves into the clinch.
Da Silva has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Alpa is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Alpa manages to break the clinch.

Alpa instigates a clinch.
Da Silva is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Alpa has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Da Silva uses from the top position.
Alpa controls Da Silva momentarily but Da Silva frees himself.

Da Silva drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Alpa manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Da Silva has Alpa in his guard.

Alpa keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Da Silva's head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Alpa slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Da Silva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Alpa to the mat! Alpa manages to get full guard.

Da Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Da Silva working for submissions but it's allowed Alpa to get to half guard.
Da Silva is refusing to be controlled, as Alpa sits in half guard.
Alpa is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Da Silva is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Alexander Alpa just wasn't active enough.
Alpa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Da Silva as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Alpa. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Alpa fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Da Silva to the ground. Alpa is now in Da Silva's guard.
Alexander Alpa overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Alpa is really struggling to control Da Silva but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Da Silva looking for a guillotine here but Alpa defends easily.

Alpa got a little sloppy there for a moment and Da Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alpa has managed to get both his arms back between Da Silva's legs - danger averted.

Alpa is working to tighten is grip on Da Silva's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Da Silva has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Alpa is really squeezing tight and eventually Da Silva passes out! Alpa breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Alexander Alpa!
