Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bako King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stevie Hinch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stevie Hinch has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bako King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stevie Hinch!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hinch shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. King is trying to defend but Hinch finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
King gets back to full guard.

King looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

King had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hinch defends it easily.

Hinch got a little sloppy there for a moment and King has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hinch has managed to get both his arms back between King's legs - danger averted.

Hinch drops back looking for a leg! King is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and King manages to kick Hinch off! Hinch jumps back into King's guard.
Hinch sitting in guard here, content to control.
Hinch stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. King swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hinch trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hinch drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hinch jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hinch is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hinch pushing down on King's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Hinch is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so King is just riding it out for now. Hinch eventually gives up the hold.
King is looking for a sweep. Hinch is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
King is looking to control Hinch's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can King avoid being mounted?

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hinch is sneakily working for an arm triangle but King sees it coming and defends easily.
King tries to get to full guard but Hinch has control of the leg.
Hinch trying to pass the guard but King defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
King makes his way to full guard. A much better position for King.
Hinch throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as King works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hinch trying to control but King is working from the bottom.
King manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hinch is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
King looking to finish Hinch with some ground and pound. This is bad for Hinch!
King won't let Hinch get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
King is landing with some decent strikes but Hinch is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
King avoids the attempt from Hinch to control.
King lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.


It looks like Stevie Hinch has been cut.
King is in the full mount, landing strikes.


Hinch is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
King lands a big elbow - Hinch is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Hinch is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Bako King!
A very excited looking Bako King rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
