Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Black Belt!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson throws a hook but Belt blocks it.
Belt shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Thompson pinned against the cage. Thompson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Belt.
Belt misses with a jab, cross combination.
Belt shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Thompson sprawls well. Thompson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Belt gets slowly back to his feet.
Tommy Thompson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Black Belt.
Belt shoots in for a takedown but Thompson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Belt shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Thompson but Thompson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tommy Thompson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Belt tries to clinch there but Thompson circles away.
Thompson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Belt moves away.
Thompson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Belt has closed the distance and engaged Thompson in a clinch.
Belt drops down looking for an ankle pick but Thompson pulls his leg out and moves away.

Belt looking to score a takedown here. Thompson is defending well but Belt drives through and ends up in Thompson's guard.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Belt working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Belt postures up in Thompson's guard and throws a big left but Thompson blocks it.

Belt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Thompson wants to sweep but no luck.
Belt sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Belt throws a big right hand that misses.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Belt cracks Thompson with a solid left hand.
Belt lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Thompson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Belt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Thompson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Belt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Belt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Belt postures up and lands a big shot to Thompson's brow.
Belt arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Thompson's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Black Belt!
