Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Deep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Kimmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kimmo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Roni Size-Bite The Bullet kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Deep!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Kimmo!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Kimmo does no damage.
Kimmo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Deep.
Kimmo walks into a stiff left hand from Deep.
Deep moves out of range of the body kick.
Deep shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kimmo sprawls well. Kimmo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Deep gets slowly back to his feet.
Deep looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kimmo is fending him off so far but Deep persists. Nope, Kimmo circles away and we're back to standing.
Kimmo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Deep will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Deep looks to score with a jab to the body but Kimmo is just out of range.

Michael Kimmo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Kimmo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Deep fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kimmo sprawls well initially but Deep persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Deep seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kimmo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Deep is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Kimmo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Deep.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kimmo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Deep takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Kimmo throws a wild body kick that Deep sees coming a mile off.
Kimmo scores with a nice right hand.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kimmo.
Michael Kimmo seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kimmo tries to land a front kick but Deep steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Johnny Deep is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kimmo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kimmo wants it to stay on the feet.
Kimmo sizes up Deep with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Michael Kimmo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
