Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dutch Slammin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walking Eagle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dutch Slammin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Walking Eagle's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dutch Slammin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Walking Eagle!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slammin gets caught napping as Eagle dives in and scores a takedown. Slammin manages to retain guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Eagle seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Slammin looking for a guillotine here but Eagle defends easily.

Slammin is looking for a triangle but Eagle pushes his legs off easily.
Eagle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Slammin is keeping the position for now.

Eagle decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Slammin thows a body shot but no joy.
Slammin pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Eagle looks to land a right hand but Slammin moved out of range.
Slammin lands with a shot to the body.
Eagle takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Eagle tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Slammin was well out of range. Poor timing from Eagle.

Eagle shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Slammin's guard.

Slammin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Eagle defends well.
Slammin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Eagle manages to get himself to full guard.

Eagle is pulling down on Slammin's head. It's preventing any offense from Slammin, at least for the moment.

Slammin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Eagle can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A close round but Walking Eagle will probably get the nod.

Eagle fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Slammin sprawls well initially but Eagle persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Eagle perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Slammin tries to roll over but Eagle keeps him under control.

Eagle is thwarting Slammin's attempts to control the position.
Still in half guard, Eagle seems content to control.
Eagle thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Slammin is trying to control but can't.

Slammin wants to get back to full guard.

Eagle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Slammin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Walking Eagle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Walking Eagle was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Slammin throws an overhand right that lands on Eagle's shoulder, as Eagle tries to avoid the shot.
Slammin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Eagle circles away quickly and effectively.
Slammin swats away the attempt to clinch by Eagle.

Eagle tries to land a knee to the head but Slammin blocks with his arms.

Slammin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Slammin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Eagle gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Eagle slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Slammin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Eagle defends it easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dutch Slammin.
Well Eagle has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
