Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Neil Ashworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Titus Kiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kiro has chosen Train catcher as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Neil Ashworth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Titus Kiro!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiro throws a sloppy head kick and Ashworth moves out of range easily.
Ashworth fails with the takedown.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ashworth looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ashworth lands a nice looking body shot.
Kiro tries to clinch but Ashworth moves out of range.

Ashworth clinches up with Kiro and pushes him back against the cage.

and Kiro counters with a three punch combo that has Ashworth backing up. Ashworth nods at Kiro to acknowledge the strikes.
Kiro looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ashworth is fending him off so far but Kiro persists. Nope, Ashworth circles away and we're back to standing.

Ashworth tries to clinch but Kiro moves out of range.

Ashworth has clasped his hands together around Kiro's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Ashworth thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Kiro wants to control but Ashworth postures up.
Kiro is looking to reverse the position.

Ashworth looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Kiro tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ashworth wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The referee asks Ashworth politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ashworth prefers to stall for the moment though.

Ashworth postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Ashworth decides to stand back up. Ashworth steps back and let's Kiro get back to his feet.
Ashworth is looking to clinch.
Ashworth's corner calls for a 1-2. Ashworth obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kiro misses with an elbow over the top.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ashworth breaks the clinch.
Ashworth tries to clinch there but Kiro circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Neil Ashworth dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kiro throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ashworth works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Ashworth has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kiro can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Titus Kiro was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Ashworth throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Titus Kiro has been cut.
A head kick from Ashworth lands but Kiro takes it in his stride.
Kiro shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ashworth defends it nicely.
Ashworth tries to clinch up but Kiro circles away and keeps his distance.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Kiro is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ashworth to keep the fight standing.

Kiro tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ashworth smiles and moves away.

Ashworth shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kiro pinned against the cage. Kiro gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kiro tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Kiro has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ashworth is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Ashworth lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Kiro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ashworth tries to avoid it but Kiro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ashworth to the ground. Ashworth escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kiro takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Ashworth tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ashworth thows a body shot but no joy.
Ashworth shoots in for a takedown but Kiro shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Ashworth looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kiro is fending him off so far but Ashworth persists. Nope, Kiro circles away and we're back to standing.

Kiro shoots in looking for a takedown. Ashworth tries to sprawl out of it but Kiro keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ashworth manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ashworth closes the distance and clinches up with Kiro, looking for a takedown. Ashworth pushes Kiro against the cage but Kiro circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ashworth takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ashworth will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Ashworth tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kiro knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Ashworth perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well Ashworth has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
