The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeSouza lands a nice shot that snaps Henderson's head back.

Henderson drives through with a takedown into guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Henderson shoots in looking for a takedown. DeSouza tries to sprawl out of it but Henderson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. DeSouza manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

DeSouza looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Henderson is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but DeSouza is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

DeSouza is hanging on to Henderson's back as he tries to escape.

Henderson breaks DeSouza's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Henderson is looking to work some ground and pound but DeSouza has wrist control.
Henderson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

DeSouza is looking to sinch up a triangle. Henderson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to DeSouza's body to avoid the submission. DeSouza has instead reached around Henderson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! DeSouza arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
