The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morsen closes the distance and clinches.

Morsen manages to break the clinch.
Morsen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Blackwell but Blackwell pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Morsen scores with a one two! Blackwell had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Tom Blackwell has been cut.
Morsen fails with a takedown attempt.
Morsen wants to clinch but Blackwell slips to the side

and Blackwell counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Blackwell.
Morsen is trying to break free.

Morsen breaks from the clinch.
Blackwell circles away from the clinch attempt.

Morsen pushes Blackwell up against the cage in a clinch.
Morsen is trying to force a seperation but Blackwell has the dominant position.
Blackwell is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Morsen pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Blackwell goes for a takedown in the clinch but Morsen prevents it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Morsen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Morsen scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Morsen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Blackwell sprawls well. Blackwell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Morsen gets slowly back to his feet.
Tom Blackwell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bart Morsen.
A combination from Morsen does no damage.

Morsen has closed the distance and engaged Blackwell in a clinch.
Morsen prevents a takedown attempt there.

Morsen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Morsen throws a combination. Blackwell tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Morsen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Blackwell circles away.

Morsen fails to land the takedown.

Morsen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Blackwell did well to prevent Morsen getting side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Blackwell manages to get to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morsen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Blackwell has Morsen pulled in close to control his posture.
Morsen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blackwell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Morsen has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Blackwell to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Morsen is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Blackwell pulls down on the head and he's put Morsen to sleep! This one is all over!
