Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Sands (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and SIyar Buhardazada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sands shoots in and bounces Buhardazada off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Buhardazada working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sands doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sands manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Sands stops Buhardazada from standing up.
Buhardazada is trying to control the position but Sands postures up.
Sands will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sands throws a strike but Buhardazada rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Sands looking to hit a scissor sweep but Buhardazada is one step ahead there.
Sands is looking to stand up but Buhardazada isn't so interested in that idea.

Sands doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Sands has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Buhardazada is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sands.
Buhardazada should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
