The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pleasures dodges the punch combination from Young.
Pleasures keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Pleasures throws a wild body kick that Young sees coming a mile off.
Pleasures closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Young's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Pleasures works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Young avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pleasures.
Pleasures is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Young still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Young has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Young tries to move into full mount but can't pass Pleasures's legs.
Young wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pleasures keeps working.
Pleasures tries to buck Young off but Young is having none of it.

Pleasures is concentrating on defense, preventing Young from advancing position.
Young is thwarting Pleasures's attempts to control the position.

Pleasures pulls Young in close to his closed guard and prevents Young from doing any damage or advancing position.
OK we're going to have a standup here. John Pleasures hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Jason Young seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Young tries to clinch up but Pleasures circles away and keeps his distance.

Pleasures misses with an uppercut.
Young closes the distance but Pleasures moves to the side
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Young is not content to let Pleasures control the position.
Pleasures tries to score with some ground and pound. Young controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pleasures happy to just control the position for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Pleasures dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Donk. Pleasures catches Young right on the button with a cross.

and Young counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Young throws a combination that misses
and Pleasures counters with a good, hard body kick but Young shrugs it off.
Pleasures lands a head shot.
Young is rocked!
Young staying out of range there.
Young walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Young limp body while Pleasures jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
