Shipman is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Powell fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Shipman sprawls well initially but Powell persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Powell prevents Shipman from improving his position.

Powell is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Shipman is just riding it out for now. Powell eventually gives up the hold.
Shipman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Powell is thwarting Shipman's attempts to control the position.
Shipman is doing well to control the position and prevent Powell from advancing to side control.
Powell is trying to control the action in half guard but Shipman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Shipman is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Powell 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Powell 's back!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Shipman's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
