The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scorn keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Montgomery tries to close the distance and clinch but Scorn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Montgomery shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Scorn as he avoids it easily.

Scorn is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Montgomery's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Scorn connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Montgomery scrambles back to his feet.
Scorn closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Scorn lands in his opponent's guard.
Scorn wants to control from the top but Montgomery keeps moving.
Scorn might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Montgomery haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Scorn drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Montgomery dives on top into guard.

Scorn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Montgomery is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Scorn is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
