The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel shoots in for a takedown but Hoodwell shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Steel displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hoodwell throws out the jab.
Steel's corner calls for a 1-2. Steel obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Hoodwell gets tackled into the cage by Steel. Steel maintains the clinch.
A body shot lands from Steel.
Hoodwell working hard to break the clinch.
Hoodwell is trying to maintain a safe position but Steel gets an underhook and turns Hoodwell into the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hoodwell is breathing heavily.

Steel unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Hoodwell! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Steel is unloading with more strikes now! Hoodwell drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Freddy Steel!
Freddy Steel decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
