Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Patrick Hurst!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurst looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hurst misses with a double jab.
Hurst throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rose.
Hurst looks to land a combination but Rose avoids it well.
A clash of legs there as Rose blocks the low kick.
Hurst shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rose eats them both and turns towards Hurst to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Rose checks a leg kick.
Hurst tries to bum rush Rose with a series of wild strikes but Rose uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rose throws a series of strikes that have Hurst backpedaling.
Hurst throws a right hand that Rose ducks under and follows up with a left that Rose also avoids with ease.

and Rose counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

and Rose decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hurst's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Rose has Hurst pressed against the cage, preventing Hurst from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Rose's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hurst accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

and Rose counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hurst!

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Hurst tries to kick Rose off but Rose keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rose perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Hurst moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Hurst bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rose's guard.

Rose manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rose slips a jab and a cross from Hurst.
Rose displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hurst.

Hurst tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rose swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rose dodges the punch combination from Hurst.
Hurst throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Rose moves into the clinch.
Hurst tries to break free but Rose pushes him back against the cage.
