And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvalho misses with a wild combination.
Con looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Carvalho blocks a head kick by Con.

Carvalho fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Con sprawls well initially but Carvalho persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Carvalho escapes and gets back to his feet.
Carvalho blocks a head kick by Con.
Carvalho throws a right hand that Con ducks under and follows up with a left that Con also avoids with ease.
Con pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Carvalho closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Carvalho tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Carvalho is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Carvalho scoring with strikes to the body and head.

Con is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Carvalho pulls his head out easily.
Carvalho seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Con tries to get to full guard but Carvalho has control of the leg.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Carvalho missing with a left hand there. Con was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Carvalho fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Con gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Con is rocked!
Con misses with a head kick.
Carvalho attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Carvalho lands with a cross.
Oh Con is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Carvalho misses with a double jab.
Carvalho looks to land a combination but Con avoids it well.
Con throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Carvalho's head.
Carvalho is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Con flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Con is out cold! Carvalho holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
