Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gon Grave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gon Grave!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ryan Grant!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grave fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Grant tries to clinch but Grave moves out of range.
Grave throws a combination that misses
letting Grant counter with a right hand.
Grave misses with a few strikes there.
Grant tries to close the distance and clinch up but Grave swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Grave throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Grant fails with an attempt to clinch.
Grant wants to clinch up but Grave keeps it at a distance.
Grave tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Grant paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gon Grave seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Grave throws a body punch but Grant moves out of range.
Grant dodges the punch combination from Grave.
Grant is looking to clinch.
Grave tries to clinch there but Grant circles away.

Grant fails with an attempt to clinch.
Grave stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Grave wants it to stay on the feet.
Grave's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Grave duly obliges.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Grant doesn't manage to clinch there - Grave circles away.
Grant is looking to clinch but Grave is avoiding it.
Grant tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Grave manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Grave escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Grave avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Grave feints and as Grant raises his hands in defense, Grave changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Grave wants to pass the guard but Grant is keeping the position.

Grant is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Grave defends well.

Grant is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Grant is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Grave throwing strikes from guard but Grant blocks nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Grant controls Grave momentarily but Grave frees himself.

Grant is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Grant is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Grant rushes Grave and presses him up against the cage.

Grave manages to break the clinch.

Gon Grave has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Grant.

Grant keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Grave's efforts to push away.

Grave would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Grant working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Grave doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Grant is tightening it up a little... Grave has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Grave reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Grave taps out! Nice BJJ there by Grant!
