Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Payne cracks Khalidov with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Khalidov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Payne counters by moving into the clinch.
Payne lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Khalidov is trying to pull guard but Payne has him pressed against the cage.
Payne lands with a short shot to the head.
Stalling in the clinch from Payne.
Khalidov goes for a takedown attempt but Payne pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mamed Khalidov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Khalidov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Payne moves into the clinch.
Payne lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Khalidov backwards.
Payne lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Khalidov tries to pull guard but Payne holds him up against the cage and eventually Khalidov drops back down to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Payne arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Khalidov's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
