The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawakada stuns Siren with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Siren shoots in looking for a takedown. Kawakada tries to sprawl out of it but Siren keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kawakada manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Siren has his takedown stuffed
and Kawakada counters with a nice body shot.
Kawakada fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Siren has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Kawakada throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kawakada throws a nice outside leg kick.
Kawakada lands a leg kick that knocks Siren off balance momentarily.
Kawakada scores with a shot to the body.
Kawakada connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Siren doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Siren takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Kawakada fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Siren.
Kawakada lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Siren at a distance.
Kawakada wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Kawakada lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Siren backs up against the cage.

It looks like Tero Siren has been cut.
Kawakada fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Siren looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Kawakada lands a nice looking body shot.
Siren shoots in but Kawakada avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tero Siren. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Siren takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kawakada.
Kawakada connects with an inside leg kick.
Kawakada cracks Siren with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Tetsuo Kawakada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kawakada lands with a kick to the ribs.
Siren closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Siren. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Siren shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kawakada as he jumps to the side.

Kawakada throws a leg kick which misses Siren's front leg but catches the back leg as Siren tries to avoid it.
Kawakada is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Siren doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Siren is breathing heavily.
Kawakada scores with a hook to the body. Siren takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Kawakada is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Siren rather than just go for the knockout.

Siren needs to keep his hands up - Kawakada had a free shot at his head there.
Tetsuo Kawakada is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kawakada catches Siren with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Siren forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
